Seeking Land Rover Mechanic in Yaounde, Cameroon
Does anyone know of a reliable Land Rover mechanic in Yaounde, Cameroon, please? I know someone had written about one in the guest book at Hippocampe in Brazzaville, but I never wrote the details down, stupidly! If anyone has a contact, please post it.
Thanks

Recommended Land Rover workshop in Yaoundé
I used Automobile Cars by Claude in the end. The chief there is M. Bienvenu NZIHIM whois very helpful. They are located on Rue de Ngousso, although road names don't really help in Yaoundé. They don't carry very many spares for the Tdi 300 motor as there aren't enough in Cameroon, so you'll need to provide parts yourself. The mechanics are efficient and the workshop is clean and well-organised.
GPS is E3.87761, N11.532691
Contact details are as follows:
Phone:
+237 22 22 27 36
+237 22 22 25 27
+237 77 75 10 55 (this is best - M. Nzihim's cell phone)

Thanks Bertrand, you're right about the co-ords! This man is still helping me out, now in Douala. My back door lock is jamming, so I need to replace it and he is able to send a part down. Mr Nzihim is an absolute gem and when I thanked him, he said he's "only doing his job". Wow!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
