Staying Kasane
Any suggestions on places to stay while seeing Chobe and Vic Falls. Seems rather expensive in searching on-line.
Thanks

If you are camping, try
Thebe Lodges & Camping GPS: S17.785942 E25.183085
or
Chobe Safari Lodge GPS: S17.808733 E25.145595
Both pretty decent. Chobe Safari Lodge is a bit closer to the park and town, and a bit cheaper, but more crowded.

+1 for Chobe Safari lodge. Easy to book a tour to Vic Falls from there and you can sit on the terrace watching elephants on the other side of the river.

You could also try Senyati which is outside Kasane on the road south to Nata. It is a camp in the bush with plenty of wildlife visiting but with good facilities. We always camp at Toro Lodge which is outside the town before you get to Thebe and there is also Kubu lodge in the same area. Chobe Safari Lodge does not take bookings for camping.
There are tourist offices in town who will organise river trips and trips also day trips to Vic Falls on the Zim side.
Margaret
I'll answer any more questions you may have on that area - a favourite of ours.

+2 for Chobe Safari lodge. Their sunset river cruise is highly recommended and the pool is good as well.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
