Trans Africa West 2018 / 2019

hi Guys
I travel by motorbike from Europe to Cape Town. Western Route. Right now in Senegal. In December and January I try the jump through Nigeria Gabon and both Congos.
Is someone traveling the same route in this time?
together is sometimes more enjoyable in the dangerous regions.
Let me know if you have the same plan.

Hi Willy,

I'm on my way on a very similar route to you right now although I have only just left from London, so I am still in France.

Not sure how slow your are taking things but I'm aiming for Cape Town in about four months. Please feel free to get in touch by private message if you think we might share some of the route. I will aim to be in Nigeria by mid-December.

Lovely photos on you Spot page by the way!

Enjoy,

Dave

Hi mate,
Out of interest do you have a long delay (3 weeks?) before Spot posts your position? Because being able to see your previous route and reading your posts requesting information would make it quite easy to guess either where you are now or what road your likely to take next.
Kind of relevant in areas where kidnapping and car jacking is a popular business model...
Sure you've thought of it, but thought its worth mentioning for others etc

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
