Unbelievably easy Nigerian visa

We just got our Nigerian visas in Bamako, Mali.
Handed the applications in yesterday morning and got the visa 14:00 today.
No hassle, no questions, no explanations. Single entry and valid for 90days from issue.
I really think it is worth a try here in Bamako. My application was rejected 3 times in the UK, so super excited about this.

They wanted :
Passport
2 photos
Copy of passport main page
copy of Mali visa
copy of Mali entry stamp
copy of vehicle registration doc (V5C or Carte Grisse)
copy of CPD front page, both sides
Copy of CDP Mali entry stamp.
Cost was CFA34000 for me (Saffa) and CFA46000 for Belgian dude.

We stayed at the sleeping camel (Great for overlanders) GPS N12 37.530, W007 59.276, and it is about 15-20 minute walk from here past Azar supermarket. There is a photocopy kiosk along the way, was CFA600 for all the photocopies.

Hope this helps those one the way.

Oh boy you wouldnt belive the trouble they made some month ago during and before elections. Every day people waiting in front at the embassy, two japanese on bycycles getting told to come back in two weeks. Me I have been there soooo many times with my malian brother, we waited HOURS under this big tree, they even didnt let us in.

So now skipped the non residency policy ?? I got my malian residence permit to get the visa that time BUT it was only valid 1 month from issue and they told me I can prolong it in Cotonou what was NOT the case. Discussed hours with the ambassador and now he will give me a visa but valid from date of issue and 2 weeks single entry. He asked how much I paid in Bamako what was 40000 but he said here its more expensive.

Could you find out how much it is in bamako right now for me to have a basis for negotiations ??

greetings from Porto Novo

Chris

Nigeria Visa

Completely different from our experience. Embassy was dead quiet. Only spoke to guy who works at the door/gate. He took our applications and gave us our passports next day. Really zero issues/difficulties. Never mentioned residency.
It was as easy as it will ever be possible for a visa in Africa.

We paid CFA34000 (for South African) and CFA 46000 (for Belgian) just yesterday.

Friend is going tomorrow , to see if he has the same luck. Will ask him to update post.

Tell your friend to ask for the prices for a german and if and when the regulations have changes. Also if its normal to get 90 days, because this lousy bastard ambassador here in benin only wants to give me 2 weeks which is possible but I always prefer a bit extra time.

Greet the guy on the door from the german vespa traveller that passed 4 month ago, if its still the same guy he will know ...

thanks

chris

Mali Visa one month 15000CFA on the border, one month prolongation 5000CFA at immigration in bamako. Dakar ambassy was more expensive than at the border itself. The officer was drunk and unfriendly plus demanded 60000 so i made him a bit of trouble. Send me to Kayes to get it in the end.
