West Africa: Where to buy a motorbike? Ghana, Togo oder Benin?
Hi!
I am going to do a trip to West Africa for 3 month and planning to buy a motorbike or scooter in one of my first countries Ghana, Togo or Benin.
Where is the best place to buy one in terms of availability, costs and paperwork. I have to add that I hardly speak French.
I also wonder what documents I need to get through different countries? Is it possible to sell it in Senegal or Gambia without much hassle?
Thanks!

Plenty of 2nd hand big bikes in Ghana, but they will be in poor condition ( bald tyres/ worn out chain). I saw some old tenere's and africa twins in Tamale, but in Kumasi or Accra you will also find some. New Chinese bikes you can buy just everywhere in West Africa, from 600 euro for the low end 125cc models to 1500 euro for a 200cc 'offroad' model with all the wistle's and bells.

Just to update this thread:
I ended up buying a Haojue 125 ccm in Lome, Togo. The journey was for 7 weeks, 6500 km and had not technical problems at all!
Comparing the prices later in the other countries I realized that Accra, Ghana would have been the cheapest place to buy it.
