A SHOCK WANTED IN MEXICO - 2005 F650GS REAR SHOCK (lowered version)

Dear All,

We are currently in Mexico riding between Ushuaia and Vancouver and my wifes rear shock has just given up the ghost!

We are now in the market for a new replacement shock (F650GS 2005 - lowered) she isn't the tallest and she will prefer the lowered version so will consider a used / take off if available.

FOR VEHICLES WITH LOWERING (CODE: X499A)
PART NUMBERS - 33537668653 was superseded by 33537728375.

Any ideas? Availability? Ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Where are you in Mexico? You might try contacting a BMW dealer but I feel your best option is getting one from the States.
If you need help contact me. If you want to visit Mex City contact me also.

Shock found, built and sent in 3 days

Once in a while you come across a true gent, and a time conscious legend. Happy to put together a new Hyperpro Shock for our stranded F650GS.

EPM Performance have gone out of there way to make life as painless as possible for us. A highly recommended company should you find yourself in a rear shock pickle with nothing within 2000km!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
