Get paid to travel around Europe!
Might suit someone - Discover More | Harley-Davidson personally seeing if Honda will stump up 25000 euros so I can do it on my C90! Gotta be better than a Harley.

under the t's & c's it requires a passport registered in the EU does that mean it has to be a EU passport?
Maybe a stupid questions...

Yes, as I read it you have to be a EU passport holder, so if you have a passport from from the UK or any of the mainland EU countries you should be ok

If you are Fed Scuttle of 23 Gas Work's road. Your claim to fame is. You won second prise in a leek growing competition at the Clack Bottom show. You've got no chance. But if your a football star or of some kind of name that the public know, You'll have a better chance.

Seb
You are a more talented person than I will ever be.
You have travelled much more than I ever have.
Do you think HD might be interested in hearing more about you instead of just showing them flashing pictures of where you have been?
I am sure you are a very interesting person to talk to but if you think it's a competition for who has travelled the most then there will be someone who has travelled more than you somewhere.
I don't think that's what they're looking for. I imagine they want the whole package of experience, personality, knowledge etc. but your video does not show that. Surely they will want to use footage of this experience in a promotional way so it will be important to them that the chosen person is the right type of character and someone who can be easily liked by anyone watching so maybe you should let them see more of who YOU are, not just where you have been?
But who am I to disagree with you. I hope I do not sound as if I am criticising your efforts because they are better than anything I could offer.
Good luck with your application!

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the input and feedback. I thought of doing exactly what you are suggesting, but that's also why my video is not a standalone application. It goes together with a written cv and motivation letter. So for me the letter is the explanation of everything and the video a proof of what I am capable of in a very short period of time.
My video is not about how much I have travelled, because there's always somebody with more experience, more countries, longer distance, blablabla. It's about showing that I know my way around a camera, editing software, having experience with the media and that I have also seen a bit of travelling and so on. As I read what the rider will have to do: document the trip, make promotion for it, give interviews and so on. As I understand it, there wil be no one to follow you to do all these things, you need to be able to do it all. I just get the feeling that it's the same thing that I have been doing the last couple of years, but then on the next level. I might be completely wrong, but that's how I read the job offering.
Ultimately there will be a guy/team at HD that will have to decide who they want based on criteria that no one of us knows. Everyone can talk the talk and ride a bike but I think I might score a few points more in the fields where I have some experience in. And because I really really would like to do that, best job ever.
PS; if I don't get the job, I just continue my trip that I am doing right now, greetings from Honduras!
PS2: Unfortunately I will not share my cv/motivation letter here, but if you work for HD then you'll read it soon enough....

That's not exactly true my friend.
Harley nearly went out of business several times because their bikes were not reliable & they didn't keep up with technology, & the last time they were bailed out was by GWBush who put extra taxes on all imported bikes to make Harleys look cheaper!
I can buy 2 bikes that look like, sound like, & are more reliable & better handling than a Harley for the same price that l would pay for 1 Harley!
BUT, the Harley's are iconic & one of the best known & most desirable motorcycles in the World!!!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
