Using wetwipes has been a revelation to me! Amazing for a "gentlemens wash" every evening or morning. Woudn't leave home without them.

Can always buy the flat packs of toilet paper, nice and small and can be used to blow nose etc where wet wipes can not be used, pack of both was my choice.

A word of warning about WW DON'T GET THE ONES I FOUND MADE IN RUSSIA. They were a bloody revelation for sure. I reckon they were for "hard surface cleaning" F*** knows what was in them, made me hop around!

Sounds like you may have used those Domestos type toilet wipes but printed in Russian ... reminds me of that song... burn burn burn, the ring of fire, the ring of fire

and after reading this great thread a little humour via a poem ...

On a bike in Morroco a man had to go
So he stopped at a toilet with no bog roll on show

Now what should he do you hasten to ask
So off came his boot and his sock wiped his arse

Remember in future to carry some spares
As it’s rather unpleasant when poo clings to the hairs

When the deed is all done you get back on your bike
Then ride to a shop for a pack of wet wipes..

You stop somewhere quiet with a wet wipe in hand
To have a good clean up …avoiding the sand

Please ensure you avoid any grit
As it may become painful when you next have a shiiiit!

Tim, reminds me of the trip a mate of mine went home a bit worse for wear after a night out and brushed his teeth with his mums hair removal cream left carelessly next to the colgate

But they need to be padded out with some bog roll or other tissue since they lack bulk and are porous.

....what's wrong with going native???
Just remenber to use the right hand which of course is the left hand.

I always carry a few small bottles of alcohol hand wash to use when caught out and before eating; they're small, light and easy to pack away or tuck into a small pocket.

Wet wipes block sewers! They don't break down like toilet paper and I'd guess they're not as biodegradable? Certainly harder to set light to too!

Nothing a quarter gallon of petrol won't cure.









(no, I don't use wet wipes, nor petrol to start a fire - and I rarely start a fire at all)

These days they make moist toilet tissue in wet wipe style packets. That if flushable.

I doubt that's a big concern in the back end of nowhere though.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
