Said story. Any way I wish you well in what ever you do. Getting back on a bike after what you have been through take's a brave man.

Good to hear some good news these days; hopefully the NHS have done a "good job".

But I don't suppose the DVLA are meeting, or exceeding, their business mission statement.
I recently had a letter from another branch of our government; another one of the many agencies that operate on behalf of government - another one of those that government ministers can hide behind and castigate them for inefficiencies etc etc.
The gist of the letter was that they may be able to deal with my query in a period of 4 months - I feel sure that the whole point of this letter was to be able to report via the official government channels that my query had been actioned within the time period stated within their mission statement (if I really stretched my memory I think they had said that a reply could be expected within 30 days of submitting the proforma).

Good news! welcome back!
You have been busy, It's really nice that you had a project to work on while you couldn't ride. Any pictures of the bike before/ After?

I work in healthcare and I have to say that having something that keeps you happy and busy keeps you healthy. My dad is a biker but the pedal kind and at 73 it keeps him happy and active, besides who doesn't like to Tinker Right!

Back on the road soon, where is you first trip going to be (even if its a day trip)

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
