Links to travellers speaking on the radio
OK, the idea behind this thread is to provide people with links to radioo shows where someone that the Horizons Unlimited members would be interested in. When you add links, and please do, can you say which country the link is from as some broadcasters / podcasters limit reception to those in a specific country - for example the BBC limit the downloads to the UK. To get around this you would probably need to use a VPN and set the country to, in the case of the BBC, to the UK.
To give everyone a good start I have done a bit of a trawl on the BBC Sounds website for various travellers.
To start off with Lois Pryce
Quite a bit from Lois on the BBC (UK based) over the years so:
From Woman's Hour https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b08w14ff
Mid week https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01ks653
Four Thought "War on Two Wheels" https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000llw4
Sam Manicom
Judy Spiers Show - https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0142rc3
.

.
.
.
No doubt there are plenty of others that I have missed.

If you accept a somewhat looser definition of radio there's always:
https://adventureriderradio.com
A few of the usual suspects pop up on there from time to time.

Not specifically adventure riding but aimed at people learning how to maintain their motorcycle. I haven’t sampled it as yet but will have a listen to and from work (having listened to all of the Adventure Rider Radio series including all of the ARR RAW Series.
Anyway, Motorcycles and Misfits is the podcast.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
