Malaria Vaccine
http://theguardian.com/world/2021/ap...ina-faso-trial
Looks like the guys over at Oxford have been busy. Not only did they develop a covid vaccine, it seems like they have gotten some great results for a malaria vaccine!
What are your thoughts, would you take it when it's available? Seems like a no brainer to me, since malaria is the most deadly disease in many countries...

I really do hope this one is the game changer. There's been so many false dawns with malaria vaccines and treatments over the years, where something starts off working well but mutations and other changes eat away at its efficacy over time. For the sake of the people living in these areas let this one work and be cheap enough to distribute.
Some background if you're interested -

Thats great news and I really hope that this malaria vaccine development could end in a effective vaccine that could be distributed to the places that have malaria problems. And for people that travels to such places.
And yes of course I would take the jab if I was going to malaria struck places.

I'd take it - but I wouldn't be among the first.
Too bad that the people who are most exposed may never afford it or have it afforded to them.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
