Pandemic mileage/kilometreage?
It occurred to me a couple of days ago to check how far we're travelling now, with pandemic restrictions. I find that in the last two years we've averaged 2114 km a year / 1321 miles/year in our own vehicle. Now, it should be pointed out that we've accumulated more than that in rental vehicles - 5900 km in Iceland and 5181 km in Argentine Patagonia - in both cases short trips (5 weeks and 6 weeks) where taking our own vehicles would have been completely impractical. Even so, that's a total of 8315 km a year / 5197 miles a year combining our own vehicle and rental vehicles.
This is a lot less than pre-pandemic; in 2019 we covered around 45,000 km / 28,000 miles, although this was a "big trip".
I'm wondering how the pandemic has affected others in terms of distance travelled?
