Trip Planner
This may be a ridiculous request, apologies in advance if that is the case.
I'm looking for a 'trip planner' of sorts for an upcoming European bike journey lasting approximately 4 weeks. I know I can use google maps for the journey but is there an all in one that helps with costs, journey, campsites, hotels, recommended places to go etc. etc.
I don't (ideally) want to have a handful of planners for different things so if there is one in particular that anyone has used that does it all I'd love to hear about it.

I use this at a fairly basic level but I think you'll find it does most of the things you need:

If you find a single app that does it all then please let me know. I usually resort to a combination of tripit, booking.com, a notebook and various maps.
Regards,

Are you looking for a motorcycle adventure, or a motorcycle tour? Assuming adventure: I know there are travelers who plan and schedule their trip to the day (as if on a tour), and there are those who travel with no detailed plan - only the big picture. IMO, don't over plan. Highlights of the trip happen when the unexpected comes before you. I normally plan the details of my next day the night before, while traveling.
For places to see, Lonely Planet is good along with motorcycle ride reports here and on AdvRider. Tourism web sites are also good.
I use iOverlander.com for campsites and motels, along with those listed on mapping software like OpenSourceMaps. I understand that a smart phone travel app is another source, although I'm not a smart phone guy.
There is no one source for what you are looking for. It's an adventure when traveling outside the realm of an organized tour - but there is the uncertainty of what adventure your trip will present to you. Again, do you want a tour or an adventure?

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
