I'm afraid Motorhead doesn't do it for me, but never mind.
Now, Tango Wind, well, that's different altogether! More of what I like. Thanks for that.
I spent a brilliant winter in the south of Spain about 3 or 4 years ago learning tango. Wonderful!
I've plenty of tango CDs in my collection. One example on the fringe: "Di Meola Plays Piazzolla". But also Cafe de los Maestros and Revancha del Tango.
Just to add something different again, I've always liked African music, probably started when I went to Ronnie Scotts years and years ago, bought a ticket from a tout and got in to see Abdullah Ibrahim. First time I ever heard a piano talk and sing!
And my looming Africa trip has intensified that interest. Which led me to find this wonderful item:
A Town Called Addis - Dub Colossus
My favourite CD of the moment. Especially numbers 6 and 8 on the website samples list.
Can't wait to reach Addis Ababa!

McCrankpin, You will reach Addis Ababa
Here is inspiration.
YouTube - Honda Impossible Dream
African music first came to my attention years ago... as the many returned Peace Corps volunteers who had served in Africa, visited my ranch in Arizona. One of the first, a man who had served in Sierra Leone, brought back Bob Marley aand explained Marley's *"One Love" was for all practical purposes the national anthem of Sierra Leone.
* YouTube - Bob Marley - One Love
Or ,this rendition might be a more appropriate model. This is HD video or beyond... YouTube - Playing For Change: Song Around the World "One Love"
and one of my favorites... YouTube - Bob Marley - Stir it up
Another, who had served in **Cameroon presented me with tapes of village music, and then there was the young woman who had served in Ghanna, and the couple who met and married in Botswana, and soon I was encouraging each volunteer to leave me samples of music from the counties where they served. I have quite a collection of African music, back at the ranch.

We had African music almost every night in my recreation building with it's now famous "Spy Bar." Thanks, your music has brought back memories of the best years of my life, thus far.
While in Morocco, Elisa and I spent several nights at the Peace Corps hotel in Marrakech, we slept on hammocks on the roof top, chatted with some very interesting folks and really enjoyed ourselves. As I recall the hotel was named Sidi Sur or something like that.
Hey, might be a great idea if those posting ride tales could send a link for local music too.
And lambada from Brazil YouTube - Kaoma - Lambada ENJOY AND POST SOME MUSIC

Perhaps a *BALLAD, written by international motorcyclists (overlanders) ("Those of Horizons Unlimited") could be submitted, selected, put to music, and produced as a music video.... and then sold, along with the travel DVDs and other products that help finance Horizons Unlimited.
Here is a ballad about riding the rails:
YouTube - The Highwaymen - City Of New Orleans
And, riding the waves:
YouTube - Cruisin' by Gwyneth Paltrow & Huey Lewis
And about flying on a jet plane:
YouTube - Leaving On A Jet Plane
and riding in cars:
YouTube - Little GTO by Ronnie and the Daytonas -- GTO's
YouTube - Beach Boys - I Get Around
YouTube - 409 by the Beach Boys -- Chevorlet Muscle Cars
And, about riding MOTORCYCLES:
YouTube - Arlo Guthrie/Motorcycle Song
YouTube - black rebel motorcycle club perform 3 songs live on FM94/9 s
And, about Motorcycle Girls: and the Ballad of Easy Rider
YouTube - Motorcycle Girl
YouTube - The Byrds - Ballad Of Easy Rider
Post Ballads here, thanks

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
