A couple dozen Muslims protesting something or other and a whole slew of motorbike enthusiasts.

The USA is big enough and tolerant enough for both groups.

By way of identification, I am an old(67) white Souther male. Mention was made about "taking our country back" by creating a day long traffic jam in DC. What would be taken back? Who took it-full names please? Aside from creating bad pr for all bikers, what else would be achieved? Just curious.

I could be wrong, but here is my take on "taking our country back" - as previously posted on this thread, ---- the approval rating for the U S Congress is about 10% and the approval rating for our President is less than about 47% I would guess the comment about "taking our country back" - was made in this context, and I agree it is absurd, but it could be loosely interpreted as doing something to demonstrate that the people are not happy with the performance of Congress and the President.

Perhaps those representing the low approval rating described above and as originally posted earlier on this same thread, believe our politicians have been influenced/bought by lobbyist representing multinational corporations, banks, big pharma, Monsanto style monopolists the manufacturers of armaments and the providers of logistical services that support war and war's aftermath, and Wall Street,.... to the demise of the majority of Americans. First and last names might be found by naming our politicians elected to national office, the CEOs of the Fortune 500 companies, and perhaps more than a few of the 2000 or so billionaires currently inhabiting the planet.

And, perhaps those same influences have managed to influence our mainstream media - as posted here......
