Ok, I'm running out of time here in South America so I'm putting my black bike up for sale too..
If you saw I also have a red KLR listed, it's not a mistake. I have two here in Chile. The red one was ridden by my brother, the black one by me.
Approx 30-35k miles
Tusk aluminium panniers
Pelican top box
Rotopax fuel can
Upgraded front brake
Aftermarket seat (great for long stints)
Tank bag
Trail tech vapor dash
RAM phone mount and charger
New battery
Maintenance and repairs:
Rebuilt carb with replaced choke system.
Adjusted valves and doohickey
Changed coolant
Replaced clutch and throttle cables
Brake pads 75%
New Rear tire, front is 30%
Front blinkers broken
Front brake lever bent
The Lagunas Route broke the latches on the top box, but honestly it's been waterproof for me, even with just padlocks holding it closed. And I've ridden hours upon hours in pouring rain with my laptop with no problems. I'm typing on it right now..
Most of the plastic is held on by zip ties because they've been more reliable on rough roads than bolts at this point..
The bike runs, rides, and starts great though. I wouldn't hesitate to ride it back North to Bolivia.
It's on clean titled Washington plates in my name. Comes with spares (bearings, tubes etc).
$1500

Title is easily transferrable to anyone via Alex Smith with (

Or you can simply travel on a power of attorney (poder) which is simple, cheap, and effectively the same. You’ll be able to cross borders, buy insurance, even re-sell the bike. We used the Poder on my brother’s red bike and the title transfer on mine and there honestly has been no real difference.
