If you can source a gearbox (pretty easy) you could get it overhauled bye this guy (he does all of the work for motorworks etc) If you supply the different gears Ie high top low first - he will build them in at no extra cost during the Overhaul. Had my gearbox done this year he charged £228.00 all in thats a complete overhaul, new bearings, seals, gaskets changing the ratios of top and bottom etc and postage of the box back to me. You may have to wait a while 2 to 4 weeks as he is busy but gearboxes are his thing he is also well known on the classic and race bike circuits for his work. My gearbox has been excellent since the rebuild. Unless you really need the 5% difference in the gear ratios I would say its a mod not worth doing.
