Camel foot side stand extension for adventure bikes (located in DE, shipping WW)

For sale are side stand extensions modeled after the foot of a Bactrian Camel (1st image).

Successfully tested on a 6-month and 25,000 km long motorcycle tour from the Oberpfalz, Germany, to Vladivostok, Russia, during which I crossed several countries like Georgia, Armenia, Iran, Afghanistan, the Stans, Mongolia, as well as Siberia and the Far East of Russia.

Each set consists of a ground plate, clamp plate, and top plate including "Camel foot" logo, all laser-cut from stainless steel 304L. The assembly is done using 4 countersunk screws M6 (V2A), 4 washers M6 (V2A), and 4 nylon insert self-locking nuts M6 M6 (V2A). The countersunk screws are guided through 4 O-rings (NBR) between the ground plate and the clamp plate.
I believe the assembly should be easy to follow based on the exploded view (2nd image). Various views are shown in the 3rd image. Additionally, 3M anti-slip tape is adhered to the underside of the ground plate, which is also laser-cut for a perfect fit. As seen in the bottom right of the 3rd image, the holes are conically countersunk so that the countersunk screws sit flush with the ground plate.
In the mounted state, it is hardly distinguishable from the "original" (4th image)^^.

The following variations of the camel foot are available:

#1.1
Top plate polished ("glossy") | clamp plate bead-blasted (matte) | ground plate polished (240 grit)

Originally designed for the BMW R 1200 GS (LC), R 1250 GS, and Adv. versions, but also fits various other models, e.g., the old Honda Africa Twin, old Honda Transalp, BMW F 650 GS (Dakar), and more.
If you want to mount it on an unknown bike, the dimensions are shown in the next image. Or just PM me regarding a specific model!

Best,

Mike

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
