Long story
I use the older uClear Amp Plus for my motorcycling and wanted to upgrade them. I also convinced my buddy to switch over from the Cardo Packtalk to the new Motion 6 for snowmobiling.
The biggest problem with the Cardo is the mics get wet from all the heavy breathing in the cold weather, then they stop working. Also the battery life in cold weather isn't the greatest. Having the mics up at the brow would solve the wetting issue and I do know from using the old uClear last winter that battery life in cold was good.
We installed in the uClear Motion 6 in our helmets, and used them for one day then switched back to the Cardo's.
My buddy could hear me fine as my helmet doesn't have a breath box, or breath guard. I could hear my buddy, but it wasn't clear as his helmet has a full breath box. After 10hrs of sledding in -10C, we both were sitting at 50% battery life. My buddy also missed having the built in FM radio that the Cardo provides.
My buddy had no intension of replacing his helmet, so reluctantly I agreed to go back to using the Cardo's.
In my opinion they are not as good as the uClear as the uClear is bluetooth 5.0 compared to the Cardo with 4.2. Range is about the same. I also like the motion control of the uClear, no fumbling for buttons.
