WANTED: Michelin Desert 17
Hello
I’m looking for a rear Michelin Desert for a 17 wheel
Any one has one with a reasonable price?
I’m preparing a trip and I would like to take on in my R100gs

They dont make them for 17 inch wheels.
They make them for rally bikes, rally bikes don't use 17 inch wheels. 140/80-18 is the traditional size they make them, now they also do 130/80-18 for the 450cc bikes.

I know that they are not produced any more….
That’s why I’m trying in the forum. Some guys still have them in warehouses or garages…

I think they stopped making them somewhere around 2008.
If there are any 5+ year old tyres sitting around, I imagine the rubber in them wont be great - and could be dangerous. good luck

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
