Wanted: Safari Tank for DRZ400 S
Greetings all...
I'm on the lookout for either a 17 or 27 litre Safari tank for a DRZ400 S. Preferably translucent.
Also looking for a pair of wide footrests and an 18" rear wheel.
Go on.....you know you want to sell it!

IMS do an 18l tank so look out for those too. I have the 28l Safari and when it's full, it's, well, a tank. You'll get close to 400 miles before you need to find a garage though.
Wide pegs I got new from eBay Germany for about £15.00 in carriage but these are the same ones http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MX-Motocro...EAAOSwt6ZWV8tm and are all I can find quickly.
Wheels do come up occasionally on ebay.

Thanks for your reply BYT. I wasn't aware of the IMS tank so I'll take a look. I guess you're happy with the quality of the pegs to be recommending them?
I have a 27ltr tank on my own converted SM so I know exactly what it's like full! I'm just beginning to prepare a 2nd DRZ for my girlfriend, hence the search for parts.
Cheers!

The pegs themselves fitted fine but I had to put a little bend on the springs to hook on. If you get them, and you get stuck, let me know and I'll take a picture.
I have over 9,000 miles of road, mountain trails and UK green lanes on them and they've been fine.

Thanks for the offer canoeguy. Unfortunately the cost of postage, UK import tax and Vat, not to mention the post Brexit plummet in the value of the British pound makes it a no go.
Now in Morocco and topping up my partners stock DRZ tank from my own supertanker
Still wanting a 17l Safari though...perhaps two.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
