WTB: Touratech TT39 (or Rallye) tanks for F650GS/Dakar
As per the title,
I'm looking for a set of TT39 tanks for the F650GS/Dakar.
I'll take I can get, a complete kit, an incomplete kit, just single tank halves,
hell, I'd even consider damaged tanks, depending on how repairable I deem them.
Also always interested in anything for the F650 Rallye kit.
I am located in Germany, but can arrange to have the tanks shipped to a friend in the UK, if you don't want to ship them directly to Germany. The same applies for many other countries, too.
Thanks in Advance!

I used to have a set but no longer but...
TT did not make the tanks but a German company did.
Maybe call them since you say you are there? you never know what might be lurking under a tarp in their store room.
Viel Gluck!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm afraid I tried with TT already (Elkamet made the tanks for them, but don't have distribution rights), I got some connections there, the moulds still exist and in theory TT would be willing to do another run on order, but the MOQ is 100 sets. Fewer than that would make it entirely cost-prohibitive on a per-unit basis, given the re-tooling cost of the machines.
If it was 10 sets I'd have considered it, but 100 sets is beyond what I can deal with

For the times you'll need the extra fuel, 2 X Dromadery 10 litre bags may well suit you and be the cheapest and lightest option!

I totally agree. For any normal use, even RTW trips, it really doesn't make that much sense to install those tanks., given that you get 400km on a std tank. Add a fuel bladder or two and you're good to go (aaalmost) everywhere.
However, I want them for a Rallye/desert bike build.
Different story there, for practical reasons. Carrying either 51 liters (12L center tank, 11L*2 front tanks, 17L rear tank) of fuel or 34 liters of fuel and 17L of water in the rear tank (I do have a dedicated water tank that's never seen fuel, for that purpose).
