Travelling Overland India-Europe
Namaste

I am driving right now with my Girlfriend on two Russian Minsk-motorcycles from Vietnam down to Singapore. We are allready in Malysia. This means our Trip is almost over. But i want to travel on. My dream is to travel on a Enfield from India to to Europe where i live. Is it still possible for Foreigners to buy Enfields in India (legaly would be nice, but at least with convincing papers) an get all the permits to cross the borders into Pakistan, Iran and Turkey....
What do you know about the current situation about driving in Iran and Pakistan.

Not possible any more in India, but you can do it from Nepal. The link "Carnet de Passage" in the menu on the left explains why. Try to search the HUBB for "India Nepal Enfield" and you should find the relevant topics.

No problems in Iran. In Pak you may get police escorts in Baluchistan, other than that no problems that I know of.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
