The clinical expression for that condition is "Back in the rut - itis".
Problem is it isn't jut back in the rut, but comfortably back in the rut and even worse, deeper in the rut than before.
We spent a year teaching in China and within days of getting back home were applying for other teaching jobs and were back within 6 months. Since then, we have never stayed back home for more than 4 months and then only if I have a major project under way.
