Iran-Pakistan-India
I am currently in Tehran / Iran (BMW R80GS)and am planning to cross Pakistan in two to four weeks (depending on a visa extension). Is anybody currently traveling by bike in this area and interested in driving as a group through Baluchistan/ Pakistan towards India? I can be reached in Shiraz at the Hotel Sadra until at least September 25th (00.98.711.222.4740)or you can drop me a quick note here on the bulletin board.
Safe travels, Andreas

Hi Andreas
We are on two R80GS in Hotel Boulali, Hamadan (27/28th) heading for Persepolis, Yazd, Bam and the border. We expect to be crossing the Pakistan border in the next 7 to 10 days depending om progress.
We would like to do the KKH, but will skip if the political situation is not good.
Let us know if you want to meet up, will try and check the board again this week or email me.
Regards

We are Cliff and Jenny - currently with Andreas (the R100GS) and us on two F650's. We are in Yazd at the moment (29th) leaving on the 1st of October heading for Kerman, then Bam and the border after that - would be great if we could all do it together.
Either post reply or email us at batleysathome@btinternet.com
We have no mobile phone working here !! Will try and check this tomorrow before we leave here.
Cliff & Jenny and Andreas tagging on the end !!

Hi guys
Sounds like a party! We may be able to catch you up depending on our progress. Anybody seen Maarten as he must be pretty close to you by now?
We are currently still in Hamedan (29th) and planning to get to Bam via Esfahan, Persepolis and Yazd, by the 3rd/4th of October at the latest. Does this fit in with your plans?
Our mobiles aren't working either so we'll keep checking the bb when we can.
Cheers

Hallo Sean,
That fits in with our plans just fine....we are planning to stay in Yazd for a few more days leaving here on Wednesday the 2nd, arriving in Bam on the 5th of October. Let us know what hotel you are staying at and we'll meet you there...
We had some luck and organized the right stuff to have a party...
Andreas
P.S. We have not heard from Maartin for a few weeks (Jenny and Cliff talking here through me)

Made it to Kerman in one piece. Staying at an apartment here - leaving on the 5th. The telephone number here is 2222699 (Kerman code 0341). Give us a call - in and out a bit but would be good to speak. If not possible to catch up beforehand will see you in Bam - any ideas on your hotel yet ?

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
