Mumbai India
Just a heads up you are not doubt aware, there has been a series of attacks in Mumbai.
The latest reports as of 6am gmt is that several hotels have been hit by islamic groups, first hand reports from westeners that have got away is that they have been rounding up all westeners and asking for US and UK people to come forward as well as checking hostages for their passports.
There has been attacks at the main train station, main airport and 2 hospitals have been reported to have been attacked as well. 10[some say 7] locations have been hit in total and other reports indicates large bombs have also been defused on a boat.
Currrent info been given by the embassy is to stay indoors if you are there and not enter the area as there are still some hostages [100-200 at present in one hotel]and the army and police still have ongoing operations.

Does anyone know if any bikers were in the area? I know of about 10 bikers in western India at the moment. I left Bombay 3 days ago thankfully and am in Pune at the moment. Bombay is a bit of a bikers capital in India and the BIKE india magazine guys I am staying with are pretty worried. They have alot of friends in the area.
It's sick, they target the westerners but it is the Indians who get the worst of it. I can't believe I was staying just 1km awa from the Taj a few short days ago.
My thoughts go out to anyone involved

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
