Road from pto Ayacucho, Venezuela to Villavicencio to Bogota, Colombia advise needed
I have made the ride from Bogota to Mediellin to Cali to Quito in Feb 2006. Now I am returning from Brazil into Venezuela. I am crossing into Venezuela from Boa Vista Brazil to Ciudad Bolivar, I hope. I would like information on the quickest and easiest way to Bogota.
Can I cross into Colombia on the road from PTO.Carreno or PTO Ayacucho to Villavicencio to Bogota? Is the road secured by army and okay? I travel alone on a KLR and did all of Central and South America except for Venezuela.
My intention is to ship out of Bogota, as I understand, it will be the easier than Brazil or Venezuela. Right now, I am on my way to Belem, then ride a boat up to Manuas then into Boa Vista. Obviously, I do not plan to far ahead.
