Warning ! Canadian dollar value

HI

It's just an advise if you plan to traval to Canada (probably next year , now winter is very close) . I am not an expert but ,make your own research, and take your own decision. but there is a fact, since 3 or 4 years is value is alway going up and our gouvernement just says it's going to do nothing to stop this . It'now more valuable than american one (yesterday 1,00 can = 1,08 US).. 30 % more than last year . 30 % less money if you have change your money in advance it's a significative difference on your budget.

I live in Yuma, Arizona, and many thousands of Canadians head this way to stay for the winter. I dread in horror how many more Canadians will come this way now that the dollar is worth more! They will drive up the cost of gasoline, and buy out our firearms. This scourge must be stopped, now, or, I must open a winter visitor related business to make some money off this, LOL!!

Smile Great time for Canadians to hit the road!

We're in Turkey at the moment and headed for Africa. The U.S. dollar is still king there (as well as South America where we are headed next) and the bank machines here in Turkey can spit out U.S. bucks.

So if you're Canadian, get out here! You can now travel 30% further on your dollar!

Dollars and sense

It was strange still paying out the nose compared to Americans in regards to books, vehicles and general goods yet our loonie was 1.08. But as a bit of an update, it's back down to around 99 and a half cents last time I heard. I notice that motorbikes are quite cheaper in the states, but with import taxes and the hassle, I dont think its worth it for a fellow such as myself.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
