From an email to all World Nomads Affiliates:
"None of us could have imagined the extraordinary events that have unfolded in recent months and days due to COVID-19. We’re continuing to put the traveler at the center of all we do, and our people are doing everything they can to assist the travelers you have entrusted us to care for.

Frequently asked questions
We know many of you are receiving questions from your travelers, or have questions of your own, regarding coverage. We are endeavoring to answer each of you individually, but as you can imagine there are a number of travelers seeking assistance as this time. We ask that you please be patient with us. We’re working as quickly as possible to add additional employees to answer calls and emails.
In the meantime, we have put together an extensive set of
FAQ answers which you can access from our homepage. Please refer your travelers to this in the first instance. Please urge them to not contact our emergency assistance teams with questions about coverage, we need those teams to be focusing on genuine emergencies and supporting travelers who are overseas.

What next?
With so many of us restricted from traveling or forced into self-isolation we believe now, more than ever, is the time to show kindness, and to support the travel community. At World Nomads we have been inspired, for example, by the people who have taken to their balconies in China and Italy to sing and play instruments.
Consequently, we are changing the emphasis of the content we produce. We are calling it ‘armchair travel’; stories and other content to keep the travel juices flowing and prepare for when we can travel once again and do it better, with more insight and confidence.
Remember, we are a community whose belief in travel as a way of life may be challenged but will never waiver.
We wish you and your loved ones the best and urge all to follow the advice of authorities on staying safe.
All the best,
Nick Pound, World Nomads"
