Around The Block Moto Advenures - Peru

Hi all,
Has anyone dealt with this service. They buy a bike for you including all paperwork and transfer it into your name and then they buy the bike back from you. I will be travelling South America soon and would appreciate any feed back on this service before parting with any cash.

Thanks
Tori

Tobie is a straight up guy. I bought a Honda Tornado from him two years ago and store it there when I'm gone. Totally happy with the arrangement. He specializes in outfitting small cc motos for travelers. His buy back deal is legitimate, although I haven't sold my moto back to him.

Toby's a great guy, completely honest, have dealt with him a few times. He might be off guiding a group around Peru if he doesn't answer right away

Around The Block Moto Adventures is operational.
adventure motorcycle tours in Peru and all South America - Home
Toby is a stand-up guy. I first met him by joining a tour that friends were going on. Later I bought a 250cc bike from him. He stores the bike for me and I keep going back to Peru to ride it. He has a "buy back" offer which is described on the website.
Toby's tour company works closely with a motorcycle shop. New bikes are thoroughly gone over before they are put into service. On return, rentals are stripped down and built back up. My bike was originally a 200cc. Toby had the cylinder bored out to make it a 250cc. All of this is to say they know what they are doing with the prep and maintenance of all the bikes passing through the shop.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
