Bike hire Bali
Hey all,
Doing a circuit navigation of Bali with my old man in Feb and need to hire a couple of bikes. Can only find 150-250cc on the inet. Anyone know where we can get anything bigger? Preferably a couple of retro street bikes..........

Think small or big wallet
Best I could do on a reasonable budget was a Honda 200. Bali is small, can circle the whole island in a day. Rental places were advertising on the street....just walk in and do your deal. My "glitch" was wanting to take the motorcycle off the island and north to Java. There were several bigger bikes on the street for rent, but just for Bali. $25-$50 per day. Look in the beach area of Kuta.
And if you're a fat wallet type, the Harley dealer had rentals, I think $200 USD per day.

Thanks Doc, if you are in fact a real doctor!
I just feel the 200cc may be a little under powered for a couple of larger lads. Having a look at the travel insurance that is all about we are able to ride and still be covered.
Appreciate the reply,
Cheers

Googled - Gotta be true
And if it's on the Net, it's all gotta be true, even when it isn't :-)
Here's a short article I did for the magazine Motorcycle USA on Bali riding/renting. It's a bit dated, but some content is still applicable:
Dr. Frazier Rides Bali - Motorcycle USA
BTW, after you've managed Bali, drop me a PM, I'd be interested in your search results.

Be aware that technically you need an International Driving Permit to ride legally in Bali. The hire places don't usually care but sometimes the police checkand use it as an excuse to levy a small fine.
