a few predictions for 2016 - 10 last time I counted.
The price of a barrel of crude will become even lower from the levels of 2015.
Short term spikes may show variability but the general trend will continue downward in accord with the basic economics of supply and demand – there is a world wide glut of oil in the market at present and the circumstances show no signs that this will cease; rather the over supply of oil will increase.
Possibly the price will go down to around 25 per barrel from the current mid-30s level (there being no indication from the OPEC nations that they wish to influence the price), which would not be as great a % drop as seen in 2015.
Other commodity prices will continue to slide also, as the world goes further into recession both in manufacturing, e..g China is a prime case in point, and in consumerism.
Currency “wars” will continue with increased volatility in the exchange rates that can be achieved by the general public.
See the 2015 record of the Canadian dollar for one example of this.
Western nation states will continue to weaken in their resolve, for a variety of reasons (no matter what particular policies their lower resolve is directed toward) while supra-national entities (such as internationally based businesses, various corporations and ideological organisations such as ISIL) will continue to thrive on the associated chaos.
Other parts of the world will manage to get by during the year, in the manner that they have always done so, with the exception of the middle east – for the latter the centre of the power play will remain with Russia.
Worldwide sales of motorcycles will remain broadly static or decline somewhat as individuals switch from 2 to 4 wheels in developing countries.

The UN will continue to declare a number of ceasefires on various continents throughout the year.
The boxer twin cyl engine will remain in production.
No one will be too bothered what is going on in Oz or NZ unless it relates to rugby or cricket results.
Women's topics will be moved here in the HUBB, from this “miscellaneous” section to a higher profile location.
Over to you.
