His name 'Swiss' Josh may imply he hasn't got a 100% grasp of English and maybe thought (as a new user) that he miss-interoperated "travellers seeking travellers"

However, even if not....

GO FOR IT JOSH.....

If you don't ask, you don't get.... Fortune favours the bold.

And now corrected

Appologies, if offended the feint-hearted

That was submitted by mobile, should have read female/male

So please calm down on accusations, before you get a reply

and yes, will keep updated, as and when I depart

Thanks for the best wishes

A small but important difference, though one assumes any volunteer would be either female or male of some species?? no need to specify

A cynical sort might think this is a ploy, a change in tact, in the hope of luring a female into your trap whilst appearing not to have ulterior motive

Don't worry you won't have offended anybody, there aren't many 'feint-hearted' folk around these parts (especially the females I have met who frequent this forum) Personally I'm completely ok at arguing face to face with armed strangers without taking it too personally as I'm sure most overlanders are.

Besides I think secretly we were all rooting for you anyway

Thanks for the grammatical lesson, stickeysidedown, but was purely indicating that female or male traveller would be welcome.

Would be nice to get some serious response, or at least people/travellers.....to meet on journey down Africa.

If any out there, West Africa July/ August , PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO DROP A LINE

Cheers

Josh, you didn't specify enough. 4 foot 9 inches 300lbs OK? Must have enough teeth to start her own tomato?

Beaches? Surely, the best views and roads on a bike are in the mountains?

Cool

"Beaches? Surely, the best views and roads on a bike are in the mountains?"

I can think of many ocean roads that are terrific for both riding and views. Along much of the Pacific Coast Highway in Oregon and California, the Great Ocean Road in Australia, much of New Zealand's South Island....
And these are roads with lots of curves and hills, not just great views of the ocean.

I have no doubt of what you say but you're talking about roads with either hardly any traffic or vast open landscapes. Spain in summer will be over-crowded, really hot and full of Brits wanting egg & chips - not my idea of a biking adventure. JMO

You realize he's not on a bike, right? He's in a Defender.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
