The plan is to do a tour to Tunesia and from there to Sicily starting in April and all the way up in Italy. August or September 2020 (obviously that time is better because of the weather and road conditons) the Africa east route from Kenya to Cape Town is second on the list. Offroad yes (as much as allowed) but no hard enduro. We like nature, good food and drinks, cultural sites and we want to ride without stress or fixed dates although with an approximate schedule. Bikes will probably be KTM 790 adventure and Yamaha Tenere 700. Camping is an option but not necessarily. I did a tour through Ethiopia in 2019 and I think it is better to have a bigger group for safety reasons.

So - who would like to come with us? I could also think of a combination motorcycles and 4 WD.

So - basically we are 2 and look for others to share this and other rides all over the world. So far the idea is to continue in South America once we have arrived in Cape Town. But - no fixed schedule and ideas are welcome and appreciated

Regards from Munich

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
