Anyone in Kent, UK, Wanting to Plan Something

As in the title, I'm looking to meet up with like minded bikers in the Uk to plan some adventures. Anything from a w/e away in Europe to something much bigger.

I'm based in North East Kent, UK, Retired from work very early and now have plenty of years for doing what I love. If you're interested in getting together and chatting about what we could do then please get in touch.

Try the International Motorcyclists Tour Club (www.imtc.org.uk) we've been doing that sort of thing since 1932.

I'm in Chilham.

Pick a pub. Pick a day. Let's see if we can get a few along.

I'm currently planning Mongolia in July 2015, shipping bikes so only 3/4 weeks away. There's two us.

Tourider - The IMTC looks interesting but East of England meeting is miles form me, so not a realistic option of just jumping on the bike and meeting for a cuppa.

Wildman - Certainly sounds like a good idea, not sure that I'm ready for anything like Mongolia but getting a few others together sounds good.

So if there's anyone in the south east of England in or around the Kent area are you interested in a get together to discuss possible future travels ???

I first came across the IMTC perhaps 20 years ago and, at that time, found the club to be very thinly spread around the UK: just checking the website it seems to be equally thin on the ground today with no representation in, say, Scotland to name one notable absence.
Maybe a bit
Anyway, if it suits the current membership of the IMTC then so be it.

The IMTC has 300 ish members spread across the UK, only about 5 in Scotland. I don't think it's important where we come from, it's more important where we go. In 2015 we will have 3 Partitours (European touring holidays), 4 UK hotel weekends and 2 or 3 UK camping weekends. If we live too far from a regular meeting place we can keep in touch via our monthly magazine.

Thanks for the information: as I mentioned, it is what works for you guys so that's great - size is not everything.
I've seen your stands at places like the BMF shows (I hear that the latter are dead and gone nowadays) and those manning the stands have always represented you very well.

Hi,
I'm away all March, back early April. If we can meet up sometime? Based in Yorkshire but often out and about so distance no problem.
Hoping to do the TAT next year, or maybe part of it?
Open to ideas but i'm set on backcountry USA.
Keep in touch if interested.
Tim.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
