Alejandro, I am also heading south thru Mexico, Central and South America from southern California on my KLR 650. I will be crossing into Mexico south of Yuma, Az. on Sunday Oct 1. I am going to try to be in Panama City around the first few days of Nov. to fly bike and myself to Bogota. I sent you a personal email sometime back but got no reply. Let me know your schedule. Maybe we can meet up for awhile.

alejandro,
I'm heading into Mexico today from McAllen, Tx. My route is going to be along the gulf coast. Most likely I will then cross over to the pacific before I get to the Yucatan. El Salvador is high on my list. Have a connection there that will let me use her beach house for a week. By Mid Nov. I hope to be in Panama city. Maybe I will see you on the road.
Ryan
ps - I'm riding a red V-Strom 650 with silver panniers.

Heading South
I crossed into Mexico Oct 1st south of Yuma. I am now in Puerto Escondido. Going to stay for a couple of days. There are three other riders at this hotel that are going to Panama and one is going on to South America. Cory and Shell from Southern California on Vstroms and Nick on a KLR 650 (btw so am I). We are making plans for down the road meet-ups. Maybe at San Cristobal to cross into Guat. Sounds like you might be a bit behind us but ya never know .... (btw Grant put my blog up under Travelers Stories)

We will be riding South from Idaho the first week in November.
Two up on a KTM 950, headed to Argentina.
We plan to cross in Arizona and ride the Pacific coast thru Mexico, visit
Tikal and Copan and ship our bike by boat from Colon Panama to
Cartegena Colombia around the first of December.
Stay in touch and maybe we will see you on the road.
GO!!!!!!! MAX

Christian (and all), I am in Panama City now (Nov 1st) and plan on flying the bike and myself to Bogota on the 6th. Thursday, Friday, and Monday appear to be holidays (besides, I have a GREAT hotel thanks to a friend who lives here).
Where are you and what is your schedule? I think another fellow Salvador Carlucci (SALCAR) is also going to join me and go along.
