I am at the planning stage with my overland trip.Favouring travelling north up the eastern side of Africa.Timetable will be "as long as it takes".Looking for like minded travellers to travel together in a small convoy to take in and enjoy the wonders of Africa.
I am English born, living in South Africa, unfortunately just tipped into my sixties, have experience in driving on various road conditions that Africa can throw at you.Expecting to camp most of the time.
Please let me know if you are interested.

Africa overland trip 2015
Dear Paul
I've just joined this forum and saw your post. Are you still planning this trip? I'm looking to join a group/like-minded travellers from July to September 2015, and keen to go from SA, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, as far as Ethiopia or similar.
Please let me know if you're still looking for a fellow traveller.
Thanks and regards
Susan

Africa east, 2015.
Hi Paul and Susan,
I’ve got a Defender that I currently keep in Africa and using every 3 months, for a period of 3 months.
The truck is now in Livingstone Zambia, and I’m planning to pick it up again first week of March 15.
So far the plan is to travel through Zambia up to Tanzania and Kenya, maybe into Uganda for the gorillas.
This will be in March, April and May. I’ll then go back and work for another 3 months, hopefully returning to Africa end of August, to spend September, October and November there.
Don’t really do much planning, just taking it as it comes, pretty laid back with time to spend!
Would be nice to meet up with some likeminded travelers, and share a few good stories around the camp fire…..
So far the passenger seat is available Susan, if interested.
Cheers, Ib.

Thanks for the reply. I have leave from work from around 20 June to the end of August/beginning of September 2015. If you're planning do any Africa overland type trips during this time, please let me know.
My ideal would be the Cape to Cairo 'big' trip, going via East Africa.
so if you're planning anything similar, or doing any part of this trip at those times next year, I'd love to talk to you about it.
Thanks and regards,
Susan

Hi Paul
Are you still planning your Africa trip this year? I am taking leave from work from mid/late June til September and would love to do a trip up the East Coast. I've been looking at all the tour companies but am not convinced ... Do let me know how your plans are going. I can't P.M. yet as I have to have a couple of posts on this forum; could you reply on this thread? Many thanks! Susan

I'm looking at an overland adventure ride Cape Town to Cairo starting late Sept / early October 2015 on a DR650.
I'm not able to start much sooner than than, but I could start a bit later if anyone else is heading in the same direction.
