China crossing, from Nepal to Kyrgyzstan spring 2017
Hey everyone,
we are a German couple, traveling with our Land Cruiser Willie from Germany to Australia since May. Right now, we are in Armenia.
Next spring, we want to cross China from Nepal to Kyrgyzstan. We are pretty flexible with the starting dates (around April/May 2017).
We think about including Tibet into the trip. We got in contact with a few different travel agencies. But, of course, it will lower the costs if we travel in a bigger group.
Anybody out there considering a China trip around this time, as well? With or without Tibet. We would be happy to form a group or join an existing one.
Just contact us!
Cheers, Anna and Henry

Hi Anna and Henry,
Sorry to use this post to ask m own questions: We also plan a trip with our cars in Xinjiang (June 17), and so I'm intersted to know which agency you have chosen.
And also about question of bivouacs during this trip: it seems difficult (but possible) to obtain this possibility whith agencies I have been in contact, so what is your experience about that?
thanks in advance,
RR.

Hi Anna and Henry / and RR
We are also planning to travel China from Nepal to Kyrgyzstan in June of July 2017. Is this too late for you?
Best regards

Hey guys, sorry for the late reply. We still have to go to Central Asia and Mongolia that summer. Therefore, very early June would be OK, but we'd prefer to arrive in Central Asia asap.
Before that, we'll have to figure out whether the border crossing opens next year, anyway
Cheers
Anna & Henry

Hola
We prefer to cross from Nepal. If the border there will still be closed next year, we will cross from Pakistan as well. But as we are going to travel through Central Asia and Mongolia this summer, we want to cross asap, early May would be the best for us.

Good morning!
Your plan sounds good but we will cross China from the south. As the border to Nepal is still closed, we will enter China from Pakistan.
Have a safe trip! Maybe we will meet someday in Central Asia.

We're there at the moment. The only party saying that there are security issues is the police
We feel very safe and it is definitely an interesting place to visit!
