Monsoon seems to be at different periods depending on the regions, from what I can read on internet, Tibet is affected by the monsoon from June to September, and South-Eastern Asia roughly from June to October. In both cases it indicates that the later the better
So if we manage to be 4/5 vehicules, it would be around 2000€ per vehicule, all papers included (chinese driving license and chinese registrations plates) and guide included (mandatory to enter China with a vehicule), and it would take around a month.

Arf that would be a bit too early for us :/, are you going all the way to Laos or Vietnam? Because in this case you might end up still being in China during the golden week.
