China - from Kyrgyzstan to Laos June 2013
Hi,
we are planning a trip in our 4x4 to start early next year, starting in France and heading to south-east asia and back, taking a year or so over it.
We are currently looking for other overlanders (on 2 wheels or four) to join a party crossing China in June (approx) 2013, and share the burden of the obligatory guide for that time! Of course, we are open to shifting the date a little it if means more can join in the fun!
Let me know if you are interested and we'll see what we can do to get something sorted,
Cheers,
Vaughan

Hello Vaughan
Several HU members have contacted me with the same intention as yourself. These members are - Tomos, MOGGY, richards107, BigO, grifpeterson, and several more.
You may want to make contact with them.
Cheers

Motorbike in Convoy through China
Would it be legal in China for motorcyclists to accompany a car through China if the obligatory guide was in the car?

Hi David,
Are you no longer intending to make the trip then? I do not want to go poaching your guide-shareing friends?
Thanks very much for getting in touch though, and happy travels wherever they may be,
Vaughan.

Oh, and Black Rabbit - I haven't asked specifically if the guide can be shared between a 'mixed' party for this trip - however I have read accounts of people do just that over the last couple of years.
Cheers,
VB

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
