Dakhla-nouadhibou-atar buddy up

Morning,

Would anyone like to join me for the morocco/mauritania border crossing? I also the plan to ride nouadhibou to atar, by the side of the railway track.

Would be great to buddy up if others fancy it. I'm pretty flexible on timings, but I'm planning on being in dakhla in around 10 days, 4th/5th/6th of Jan.

Travelling on a moto, but happy to join 4x4 or motorcycle.

Also can I just confirm visa is still at the border (this seems to change every few months) for British passport. I really don't want to ride back to Rabat from the border.

James

Hi James,

I will be in the area in a few weeks so i cannot join you. But would you mind keeping a look on available supplies in the small villages along the way. If fuel and water would be available mid way, that would be great.

Thanks,
Patrick

Yes, all the biometric stuff is at the border for ya. We just did it a few weeks ago, although on US passport. I expect UK similar. In fact, a UK busload came in behind us, so I suspect it's all good.

If you cross after Jan 1 (2017), enjoy a 66% discount on the visa fee!

Wow now that's some good news! So €40 is much more reasonable

Quick check if anyone wants to join me for the border on the 6th, and/or fancies the desert road to Atar after. I'll try and pick up Internet again before the border, but best to SMS text me on +447879030280

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
