East Coast Canada, to Alaska, to Tierra Del Feugo

2016 is going to be my year to join in all the " big boys" out there with my first half global trip.
I plan on leaving in or around June of 2016. Going to be doing the width of Canada to Alaska then make my way to Tierra Del Feugo with no set itinerary. I have given myself a year, and even that is open ended. I want to see these countries and learn the cultures as I go so if I find a place especially appealing I might just stay for a week or more.
I love travelling a long but also nejoy the company of others as I go a long. Anyone planning of doing this trip and would like to meet up at some point for some riding and exploring all these great countries let me know.

Canada trip

Hi,

I fly into Canada, along with my bike on April 14th 2016. Will be travelling West to Vancouver for a few days break, staying with friends then up to Alaska. Hope to arrive sometime around end of June 2016 , returning North Canada to complete the Labrador Highway into Newfoundland down to Nova Scotia south through New Hampshire to pick up the TAT. Down West coast of USA into South America From there who knows.

Hope to be away for 12-18 months. Camping as much as I can.

May bump into you at some point but remember ride safe. Have a good trip

Hmmm... a remarkable coincidence! I intend to leave Virginia in May 2016, head to Newfoundland, then Prudhoe Bay, then Ushuaia, then Seattle (I am moving there and taking the long way around), taking a year or more to do it. We should definitely be covering some of the same tracks!

I started a blog to document all my trip preps:

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
