Hi wardj91, I cant email reply yet as I'm still to new a member. Yes, I'm also thinking about south of the Black Sea via Istanbul. I will probably leave a bit earlier than you, beginning of April, but may well hang around Romania a bit. I hope to have my route and a rough time frame organized by the end of January early February. If I pass through this area to soon there will be other opportunities to meet further down the road.

Current Plan
Hi Chilli,
My plan hasn't changed much since my last post- leaving Frankfurt May 12th or so, arrive in Istanbul June 6th and leave the 13th. Ferry to Sochi, Russia around June 30th, enter Kazakhstan about 8 days later and spend July in central asia. Then I will return to Germany via Russia and the Ukraine, hopefully arriving back around August 25th.
It seems that you're taking a bit of a different route, but perhaps a meeting around Uzbekistan might be possible if not in Turkey?

rich g650x, sounds good. Let me know when you've got a rough schedule together and we'll see. As I've told istanbul bisiklet motosiklet I'll be arriving in Istanbul around June 6 or so and leaving on the 13th. I'm gonna ferry to Sochi around the 30th most likely, spending July in central asia. I realize this may be well after you've passed through the area but keep in touch and let me know

Hi Guys,
I'm planning a trip to Aral sea and back, starting mid of May. Rough idea is to leave Istanbul beginning of June, arrive at Aral end of June and to be back home around July 20. Planned countries are Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazachstan-Russia-Ukraine-Moldova-Romania-Slovakia-Poland. My girl friend will join the trip to Istanbul. How about your schedules right now?
Regards, Chilli

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
