Hey Kris,
I am currently thinking about doing the trip from Germany. Nothing too specific yet. Maybe late summer, to avoid the too hot months.
Do you have already have a timeframe?
Kind regards
Josh

Have not done any visas yet, but plan to start soon. My current route plan is to go through iran. Pakistan I am not quite sure at the moment. Maybe fly from there to india or go to Dubai and Oman by ferry and then to india by air.
I would rather go via Pakistan since I heard so many good things about it, but I am a bit insecure about the security situation there ...

Hi there,
my current plan is to go trough Iran and then by ferry to Dubai and fly from there or Muscat to New Delhi and then go into Nepal and fly from there to Bangkok and go further south. Depends on the budget and time spent until then.

hi josh and dearinar,
my route is roughly the same: balkans, greece, turkey, (georgia), iran, pak, india, nepal and if budget allows on to thailand. i am just getting my passport renewed, then I will start collecting visas soon.
I plan on leaving end of july and would like to reach nepal in november, but I have time until beginning of 2016. how much time are you planning to india/nepal?
I am also a bit worried about the security situation in pakistan, but I figured I will decide on my way depending on what I hear from others coming that way. things change so fast there.
have you got any quotes for ferry from iran to dubai yet? would be interested in this as well, as a sort of backup plan.
let's keep in touch.

Hi folks.
I just saw this by chance. Looks like I am on a similar route than you. I started my journey in switzerlans 3 weeks ago. Now im in slowakia. My goal is to get around the globe. Have a look at my website: www.twine.bike
I have my Pakistan visa already in my passport and the Iran visa i will pick up in Istanbul. In pakistan the border area to Iran (Afghanistan) is not safe but the rest should be fine, according to the ambassador. So I am thinking to get somehow to Karachi. Maybe by ferry or plane. And then drive up to Lahore and enter India there. Let me know how your trip goes. Maybe we could meet somewhere on the road
