I will have to cross Myanmar too. But i didnt do any planing or organizing yet. I think im just going to show up at the border. Having a guide sounds expensive. I don't have the money

Interesting path. I'll have to research some of the paperwork that is needed to get through these countries. Anyone have a cheat sheet?
Thanks

Visas
Hi Everyone,
Could I ask all those here how easy they've found it to get Pakistan/ Iran visas? How long does it take? Where did you apply for them?
Thanks,
Kai

My wife and I got both our Pakistan and Indian visas in less than a week.
Not sure which country you are in but in the UK we went to Gerry's visa office in Manchester for our Pakistan visa. They have a checklist online about what you need to get the visa. We arrived at the office on a Saturday with all our paperwork and the visas were issued on the Monday, we got a text message saying the passports were ready for collection on the Wednesday. I think we were lucky as even the girl at Gerry's said it was quick.
I've heard a couple of Swiss guys have had their applications declined recently so things may have changed (we applied in June).
For Indian visa we went to our local visa office in Newcastle upon Tyne, You apply online and book an appointment at your local office. Again the passports were ready for collection within a week.
Cheers
Jaime

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
