Europe to SE Asia and maybe Australia
Hi everybody
Done a lot of reading here recently - but now it time to get active as well...
I am planning to leave Europe in August for SEAsia and maybe Austalia. Not sure yet on the exact route and whether to do it all overland or maybe ship the bike for part of the trip... anybody here with similar plans that would like to join me? maybe just for the start or the planning...?
Cheers,
Heike

Hi Heike
I am actually riding in Mexico, I'll be shipping the bike to the UK from Montreal around the end of May beginning of June. Will be visiting the family and friends in the Baden-Wurtenberg area in July and head South, South East from there sometime in August, no fix itinary at the moment.
Riding a 2002 Dakar

Crossing tracks
I normally go out of my way to travel alone, and for the most part will ride solo on my forthcoming trip. It would be nice to keep in touch with some other motorcyclists doing Mongolia/Central Asia this summer.
I set off late May early June and do a very convoluted route through Russia (june), Mongolia (early July), the 'Stans', into China and Tibet (end Aug), exit to Laos (end of Sept). I don't do cities or hotels too often, but would be nice to meet others on my way, maybe swap tales and share a .

UK to India Aug to Oct 2011
Hi all.
I have been planing to ride my Enfield from UK to India for a few years. The bike is ready to go I just need to sort out the visas and would start early Aug. The biggest problem for me seems to be the Pakistan visa. I generally travel alone but it would be useful to be with others for the south of Iran and the west of Pakistan. I have done this same trip a few years ago by local transport so know what to expect. If any body thinks that they will be in that area mid Sept. drop me a line.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
