Ferry Azerbaijan to Kazakhastan and to Kyrgyzstan through Uzbekistan
Hello all,
Due to an issue with my passport I cannot go to Iran and Turkmenistan as planned. Instead, I will take the ferry from Baku (Azerbaijan) to Aktau (Kazakhstan).
Once there I'll head to Beyneu and through Uzbekistan to reach Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, where I would like to spend most of the time until crossing China (13th of August)
I am flexible, my only deadline is the China crossing and I would like to do Pamir before that.
I was thinking I could catch the ferry by end of June.
Is there anyone around who would like to share the road?
Specially for the part in Kazakhstan (Aktau to Beyneu) and north of Uzbekistan (Beyneu to Nukus) , as it seems to be no man's land, I'd rather do it with company.
So, as I said, if anyone is interested, let me know.
Cheers
Samuel

Hi Samuel,
I am trying to plan exactly the same. I hopefully leave the UK on June 2nd and will ride straight to Turkey, Georgia, then Azerbaijan. Then the same as you. Only issue I may have is that I may be carrying a drone....which Uzbek doesn't allow.
What's your China crossing plans please?

Hello,
Sounds good. I didn't know that they don't allow drones... I was thinking of buying one...
I'll be crossing China on August 13th, with a group of 5. We did the first down-payment a couple weeks ago.
I'll send you a pm with my contact information. It'd be great to join.
Cheers
Samuel

Tag along
Hi Gents,
I'll be entering Kazakhstan from Russia on the 30th June. Would be keen to meet up in Aktau or nearby. Keen on Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan (and maybe a bit of Kazakhstan) for maybe a full month.
I'm pretty flexible on route, but have heard epic stories of Tajik and Kyrgyz roads.
Last year I rode from Iran to Italy (via Turkey) so this year I'm picking up what I missed out on.
You can PM me for contact info. Currently in Italy. Will head north to Germany, Poland and the Baltics before Russia in June.
Cheers,
Shane.

Hello Shane,
It'd be great to meet in Kazakhstan. I am now in Turkey and, as said, I should be there by mid-end June. I am also planning to spend about a month there, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, but specially in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan)
My next checkpoint is on 13th of August, China crossing.
Cheers
Samuel
