From Germany to Mongolia and more
Hello motorcycle friends,
I am currently planning a trip from Germany to Mongolia.
Start is mid-May 2020 and are planned for 3 months.
It goes via the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine,Russia, Kazakhstan, russia again to Mongolia.
I still need routes for countries like Kazakhstan and Mongolia. Many of you have a good route. Sleeping places would also be nice.
If someone is nearby at the same time, they are welcome to join.
So then. Would be nice to hear from you.

I'm heading towards Mongolia as well! Currently right now I am in in Bulgaria heading towards Greece and then I'll cross over to Turkey next month. Hello playing across from Georgia Azerbaijan until May of next year so I'm sure we'll see each other farther down the trail.
Hit me up on Instagram if you want to share the trail for a bit @natethenomadallen

Hi Karl
I will leave the UK at the start of May and travel on a similar route, but carry on the Kolyma Highway to Magadan. On my return I will go via Mongolia, Kazakhstan and the Silk Road. I reckon this whole journey will be 5-6 months.
Map of route (excluding the Magadan sector ) here
Happy to meet up with any travellers along the way, expect to be in Magadan early July, Ulaanbaatar end of July.

Hello Tomkat.
Nice to hear from you. Thanks for the insight into your route. Looks like an adventure. Have you ever been to Russia and Mongolia?
It is the first time for me. And alone.
Would be nice if we keep in touch. You can contact me in May and June. Maybe then we'll see each other in Mongolia

Hi Gnarlylate,
I saw your video. You drive in bad weather. How long have you been on the road? Are you going straight to Mongolia? When will you be there It would be nice if we keep in touch and maybe meet in Ulaanbaatar in May June. I wish you a nice trip. Let it be well with you.

Sometimes you don't have a choice and have to go through the bad weather... Other times you're just looking for a new challenge haha
I've been on this trip almost a year-and-a-half from the states down through Mexico and now through Europe.I don't know about straight to Mongolia because I'm going to spend the next two or 3 months here in Turkey exploring and then cruise up through Georgia Armenia Azerbaijan and cross the Caspian Sea into Kazakhstan. Then head down through Uzbekistan & Tajikistan before making my way up into Mongolia.
I don't really have any firm dates sooo just stay in touch on Instagram and hit me up when you are close by. I'm a very slow traveler and try to stay on the dirt or back roads as much as possible
This purple line is kind of what I'm envisioning over the next seven or eight months

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
