Alan,
I have sent an e mail so let me know if you do not receive it. I didn't mention the mileage range though. If I cruise at 60 I can get 200 miles per tank. Hilly of stop start and it will be less. I have two reserve canisters of 2 & 4 lirers....if they do not disappear !!

Dos Caballeros Andantes
Quest: My phone is 206-669-4589 cell. I will carry this phone with me on the trip. My email is AlanFHall@hotmail.com. Did not get your email. Call me anytime.
You and I have to tie up some potentially loose ends. Do you have Mexican MC Insurance?. It cost US about $200 dollars for six months. Does not cover CA or South. It does cover road side assistance (flat tire) and liability. I think some form of it might be required. Get some before we cross. I will work with you on this. I also think there are cheaper versions.
Also so you should get medical extraction insurance. This covers all of the places you are going and it is cheap. You need to join Amer. Auto Assoc. It costs $100 for massive coverage and is indispensable in a medical emergency. You go to an AAA office to do this. It takes about 10 minutes. Again I can help you with this if you want.
It may be you already have this coverage. Great. If you do not and do not want it, that is OK too. But I would feel a lot better if you had it.
Second. the further south we go the cheaper it becomes for hostel, cheap hotels food etc. In the mean time lets camp out a few times. I can cook for both of us as I have the equipment and skills for this. If you do not have them, buy a camper style dinner plate, cup and utensils. I think I have everything else.
Let's keep our fingers crossed. Maybe we will be able to have a camp fire or two and swim in the Ocean.
Sent an email to Tere. I would really like to visit her in Mexico City D.F.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
