Houston to Ecuador Mid June 2014
Hello,
I am planning on a trip down to Ecuador ( and perhaps further down) in Mid June 2014 starting from Houston, TX.
I drive a Vstrom 650. Not a fast rider but not a newbie either. Planning on riding on a budget, making good use of couchsurf, camping tent, and friends I have in different countries. My first language is spanish, so hopefully that helps in case any non-spanish speakers want to join me.
Please let me know if you are interested. I am flexible on my departure date. Late June is the latest I can leave.
Thanks,
Jose Moreno (201)4248022

Try to get a spot on the Stahlratte (Steel Rat). She is the best to cross the Darian. Captain Ludwig is great. Space fills quickly so hurry. Not sure if the RoRo ferry ever materialized.
Wish I could join you but agreed to head up to Deadhorse then.

Thanks Jay, will definetely keep this name in place. Given that I am still uncertain about departure date, it might be better to save a spot once i am closer to Panama.
Once again, thank you for the advice.
Cheers,
Jose

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
